Have you heard of the Nowra Bridge project?

As part of the Princes Highway upgrade, this project will provide a new four-lane bridge over the Shoalhaven River, upgraded intersections, and additional lanes on the Princes Highway.

We were engaged by Fulton Hogan to design a lifting system for a 20-ton reinforcement cross-girder cage. This cage will eventually form part of the new Nowra Bridge over the Shoalhaven River.

Last week, CaSE & Pike’s very own Senior Consultant Barry Pike and Graduate Engineer Edward Lai visited the Nowra site as part of ongoing quality inspections for the project.

As part of the lifting system design scope, we designed the lifting beams and fabricated steel items, including steel adaptors and connecting plates. We also undertook design checks for the welding of the reinforcement cross-girder cage at various lifting points.

Grateful to be a part of another interesting project.
