The Clyde Swing Bridge is the first opening road bridge to be constructed across the Clyde River in Scotland. This bridge has transformed the waterfront, connecting communities of the Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside, improving access, and creating new connections to the manufacturing innovation district.The project involved tendering a new double-leaf swing bridge across the River Clyde in Glasgow and its associated Layby Berth.
CaSE were employed as Tender Consultant. During early contractor involvement CaSE provided in-depth analysis of the design and construction of the bridge and cost studies to assist road bridge to produce a final technical and commercial offer. This involved carrying out detailed studies of method options to define scopes more accurately and then approach the market for preliminary pricing.
